We should never forget, however, where these delicious meals orginated from. Italia is a country with rich culture and its food is a big part of that. Homemade pasta recipe ideas
Ingredients:
- 500gr raw beetroot
- 1 red onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 garlic cloves
- 30ml olive oil + 20ml
- 50gr raw walnuts
- 500ml water from the boiled pasta
- fresh dill
- baby mozzarella
- pine nuts
- wild onion
These are the ingredients you are going to need
Instructions:
- Peel and cut the beetroot and the onion. Cut them into big pieces and place them in a bowl along with the garlic cloves, salt and 30ml olive oil. Mix well.
- Transfer to an oven and bake for 35/40 minutes at 200 degrees. In the meantime cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- When ready transfer to a blender. Add the walnuts and the water from the boiled pasta. Blend together.
- Heat 20ml of olive oil in a saucepan and add the cooked pasta. Cook for a few seconds and add the beet sauce. Mix well and sprinkle with fresh dill.
- Serve with pine nuts, baby mozzarella and wild onion.
Don’t worry about the size of the pieces, they will be blended later

Vegetarian pasta recipe
Ingredients:
- 12oz. pasta
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 2 yellow squash, chopped
- 2 zuchhini, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 28oz. can peeled tomatoes
- 1 12-oz jar roasted red peppers
- 2 tsp mushroom powder
- 5 cups spinach leaves
- fresh basil leaves
- salt and pepper
- parmesa cheese, grated
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- In a skillet heat olive oil and add the onion. Cook for about 4 minutes.
- Add the squash, zucchini, garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano and salt. Cook for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the tomato paste and cook an additional minute. Then, add the red peppers, tomatoes and mushroom powder. Let cook at a low simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Take the sauce off the stove and add the spinach and basil. Mix well. Then add the cooked pasta and toss.
- Serve with fresh basil and grated parmesan.

How to make pasta
Ingredients:
For the chicken:
- 250gr chicken breast
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
For the pasta:
- 200g linguine
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/3 cup chicken stock
- 30gr parmesan cheese, grated
- 6 sun dried tomatoes, diced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, diced
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- salt and pepper
Instructions:
- To make the chicken breasts, mix the olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Coat the chicken breast in the marinade. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken breast on each side for about 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate and cut into strips.
- In the same skillet melt the butter, add the onion and cook for about a minute, then add the garlic and fry 2 more minutes. Then add the chili flakes and sun dried tomatoes frying for one minute in between. Stir in the white wine and let it reduce.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions in the meantime.
- To the skillet add the tomato puree, wait for 2 minutes and add the chicken stock and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss in the pasta add the parmesan, parsley and chicken strips. Toss again.

Smoked salmon pasta recipe
How to make homemade pasta
Ingredients:
- 10oz. pasta
- 5oz. baby spinach
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, minced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 10oz. smoked salmon
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup canned artichoke hearts
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbsp capers
- pinch of chili flakes
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh dill
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of the water, transfer it back to the pot and add the spinach.
- In a sauce pan heat oil and cook the onion for 2 minutes, then add the garlic and cook an additional minute.
- Break the salmon into pieces and add it to the saucepan along with the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook until the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper and add the dill.
- Pour the sauce over the pasta and mix everything together. Add pasta water if needed.

Ingredients:
- 8oz penne pasta
- 1lb jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 4oz. sun dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 1/2 cup skimmed milk
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 1 tbsp corn
- 1 tbsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- In a skillet heat olive oil, add the garlic and cook for about a minute.
- Add the shrimps, tomatoes, chili flakes, dried basil and salt. Cook for about 4 minutes and set to the side.
- In the same pan add the milk and flour. Whisk for about 4 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper. Add the spinach and cook and additional minute. Finally, toss in the pasta and shrimps.

How to make pasta from scratch
Ingredients:
- 1lb penne pasta
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- salt and pepper
Instructions:
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- In a saucepan melt the butter and cook the garlic for about a minute.
- Add the flour stir constatnly for about a minute.
- Stir in the milk and broth and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add the parsley and parmesan, season with salt and pepper and keep stirring until the cheese has melted.
- Pour the sauce over the pasta and enjoy.

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 strips of bacon
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

- Add the chopped bacon to the same pan and cook until the fat is rendered. Reserve 1 tbsp of the fat. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Then, add the cream, tomato paste and basil. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and add the parmesan cheese. Let simmer until the sauce thickens. Season with salt.
- Add the pasta to the sauce and toss. Add pasta water if needed, toss in the chicken breast and serve with parmesan and basil.

30-minute pasta recipe with ground beef
Pasta from scratch
Ingredients:
- 8oz. rotini pasta
- 1lb ground beef
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp smoked papprika
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 15oz. can tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions:
- Cook pasta accordin to package instructions.
- In a skillet crumble the ground beed and cook until brown. Drain the fat.
- Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika and flour and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the broth and tomato sauce and mix in well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 6 minutes.
- Toss in the heavy cream and pasta. Remove from the heat and add the cheddar cheese.
