Registration Deadline: Nov 29, 2024; Submission Deadline: Nov 29, 2024 Friends of The Underline (FUL) invites Florida artists to apply for an Art Deco-inspired bench for The Underline’s Stormwater Ponds area in Phase 3 in Coral Gables. This art project aims to invite visitors to enjoy the natural and built environment of The Underline while providing an attractive and welcoming experience.The concept for this Art Deco-inspired bench is in honor of the late Bernard Wolfson, whose legacy will live on at The Underline. This public art commission is made possible through the support of local philanthropist Jessie Wolfson.  Location: On The Underline near the intersection of Ponce de Leon and Granada Boulevard in Coral Gables, Florida. Eligibility: Emerging, midcareer or established Florida artists Submission Deadline: November 29, 2024 Budget: Up to $68,000 (Artist fee, labor and material, engineering, and installation)   Submission Guidelines: Project site plan, to scale Description of project idea Design images.
