The Department of Theatre & Visual Arts seeks to hire an assistant clinical professor in Visual Arts specializing in the Built Environment for the Spring 2024 semester. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated interest in one or more of the following areas – city planning, landscape design, urbanism, sustainability, environmental and social concerns, architectural design, and preservation. A knowledge of the interaction of the built and natural environment is an important part of an art student's education and real value to the general student population at Fordham. The candidate is expected to head our newly reimagined Built Environment track, teach the Urbanism course that fulfills the university Fine Arts core requirement, teach related design and planning courses, help develop a pool of part-time faculty, mentor thesis projects, and curate exhibitions.
