  • a silicone spatula
  • a spoon
  • a square baking tray
  • baking paper
  • a sharp knife
  • a plate
  • a ladle
  • a cooling rack for baked goods

Ingredients:

  • organic pitted dates – 400g
  • vanilla extract – 1tbsp
  • a pinch of salt
  • peanut paste – 4tbsp
  • date caramel – 150g
  • fine oats – 150g
  • roasted peanuts (for topping)
  • melted chocolate of choice (for topping)
  • edible rose petals (for decoration)

Step-by-step Instructions:

  1.  First, prepare all the ingredients in the necessary quantities. This will make the whole process easier.
  2. Then add the pitted dates to the food processor. Next, add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  3. Then add the peanut paste to the blender using a silicone spatula.
  4. Pulse until the mixture becomes smooth and lump-free.
  5. Then remove the top lid of the blender and check if the ingredients have blended well.
  6. After that, scoop half of the mixture using a spoon. Place it in a bowl, along with the date caramel. Save the other half for later.
  7. Then pour in the oats. Use your hands or a spoon to mix the ingredients together to form the base of the dessert.
  8. Line a square baking tray with baking paper, and add the mixture to it, flatting it out using a spoon.
  9. Now that you formed the perfect base using the baking tray, remove the baking paper and the dessert, for now.
  10. Use the rest of the caramel/date sauce that you made earlier, and spread it in a thick layer on the base.
  11. Then sprinkle with roasted peanuts. Use your hands to push in the peanuts into the caramel/date layer.

  13. After that, place the bars on a cooling rack, and pour the melted chocolate on each bar using a ladle.
