Houdini gained renown by merely learning the craft of locks and developed ways to deceive the public. With this competition, ARCH8 invites you to reflect on this man through Architecture. Try to imagine and design a house for him.How would it be?Would it be a space full of doors and locks?Would it be a Pyramid?Would it be a labyrinth?Or would it be just a big box kind of structure?The possibilities are endless. Imagine Houdini commissioned you to design a house for him after he received his epitome of fame and acknowledgment. OBJECTIVEDesign a residential structure for the famous magician ‘ Harry Houdini’, at the time when he had attained the height of fame and acclaim. The design should speak for its user ie; Harry Houdini.There is no area restrictionThere is no site restriction. REQUIREMENTSThe Proposal is to be presented on One Landscape Oriented A1 Sheet. Proposals can be presented using any technique of your choice ( Sketches, 2D Drawings, 3D Visualizations, Models, etc. )Team code (UIC) to be mentioned on the Top Right-Hand corner of the sheet. 9. Does the 150-word limit include legends & one-liners in the sheet?
No, the 150-word limit is for the proposal explanation only and it does not include the legends & one-liners on the sheet.

Participant teams will be disqualified if any of the competition rules or submission requirements are not considered.
Team code (UIC) is the only means of identification of a team as it is an anonymous competition. Hence, a submission with its UIC will be disqualified from the competition.
The official language of the competition is English.
The registration fee is non-refundable.
