This community hub in San Francisco encourages social interaction and supports a safe, walkable neighborhood.
Part of the continuing restoration of San Francisco’s Hunters View neighborhood, 901 Fairfax replaced decrepit and outdated housing in 2018 with healthy homes and much-needed community resources. The complex of 72 affordable units now offers bright, well-ventilated indoor environments, an open-air pedestrian bridge, and sweeping views over the San Francisco Bay. The building’s centralized amenities included a public plaza, child-development center, multipurpose event space, wellness center, recording studio, and social services network.
