Swedish designer and Dezeen Awards 2020 judge Emma Olbers will be looking for "more sustainable projects with a low carbon footprint".
We've asked nine of our judges, including Michelle Ogundehin and Daan Roosegaarde, what they'll be looking for when going through this year's entries.
"The choice of material is a key issue," said Olbers.
"So I’ll be looking for beautiful products that are also good for us and for our planet."
Olbers, who is the founder of the Stockholm-based studio Emma Olbers Design, has worked as a designer, interior designer and creative director for more than 20 years.
She has worked with many brands including IKEA and Skultuna and focuses a large part of her work on sustainability with the aim to carefully design products with a low carbon footprint, often from recycled or renewable materials.
Emma Olbers will be joining 25 judges including Natsai Audrey Chieza, Konstantin Grcic, Paola Antonelli and Michael Anastassiades on the design jury this year.
