Every year people are always looking forward to the 4th of July. Not only is it a national holiday, it is also just such a fun day to celebrate. The celebrations usually include everything regarding family time. And who doesn’t love to spend time with friends and families. Apart from the super beautiful fireworks, which are a staple of the holiday, people usually mark the day with family gatherings, barbecues, house parties and picnincs. But for every good house party, a good hostess needs proper decor. That is why today, in this article we are going to share with you a few DIY 4th of July decorations and ideas for a patriotic decor in red, white and blue.
If you don’t know how to decorate, American flags are always a good starting point
What are the essential 4th of July decorations?
There are a few things you are probably going to see at every 4th of July celebration. So, without further ado, here they are:
- American flags. After all, July 4th is America’s Independence Day and since the flag is such an important symbol for the nation, it is only natural that you can see it everywhere on this day. Hanging on front porches and walls, used as a table centerpiece, cloths and napkins with the same stars and stripes pattern, you name it.
- Stars and stripes bunting. Bunting is such an interesting piece of decoration. It is made of fabric, which is pleated. In this case the fabric needs to be in red, white and blue. Particularly with a stars and stripes pattern.
- Candle holders. Since the biggest part of the 4th of July celebration is the fireworks, you need to be able to see them. And since most of the time people are celebrating outside, it is good to enjoy dim lights, which are not going to interfere with you enjoying the fireworks. That’s where beautiful candle holders scattered all around come in handy.
No matter what decorations you choose, make sure the red, white and blue color pallette is upheld
