This space continues to be at the center of legal controversies and neighborhood disputes, as it occupies the ambiguous space between indoor and outdoor, private and public. Even though patio has the potential to embrace both the indoor and outdoor activities, it often finds itself in neglect in many suburban homes. How can we revolutionize this ubiquitous program through an intervention? Challenge For this competition, entrants are encouraged to envision an installation that can make a big impact in the way we use patio.
