When a derelict, early-eighteenth-century townhouse in Central London was given to an obscure Swiss charity, Assemble was invited to come up with an idea of what to do with it. The house had belonged to the artist, cyberneticist, beekeeper, campaigner, and polymath Annetta Pedretti, whose energetic spirit Assemble sought to maintain in the house while creating a space for grassroots resistance to decades of top-down redevelopment projects.
