RIBA announces Wren Insurance Association Scholarship recipients
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has announced this year’s batch of Wren Insurance Association Scholarship recipients. The Wren Scholarships have been an important part of RIBA’s program since its inception in 2013. Each year, students who showcase a unique potential are selected for the special award. This year’s application period produced a record number of applications from 24 different UK-based schools. “Our scholarships and bursaries provide essential support to architecture students and help them achieve their aspirations within the profession. I congratulate all of our 2021 recipients,” new RIBA president Simon Allford said. And the 2021 recipients are: Lou Elena Bouey — University of Cambridge (completed RIBA Part 1 at Central Saint Martins, UAL)Amy Crellin — University of Sheffield (completed RIBA Part 1 at the University of Sheffield)Minh Le Pham Duc — Architectural Association School of Architecture (completed RIBA Part 1 at Central Saint Martins, UAL)Lara Miller — University of Bath (completed RIBA Part 1 at University of Huddersfield)Rasha Shrourou — Birmingham City University (completed RIBA Part 1 at the University of Wolverhampton) Each winner will take home £6,000 ($8,300) each for the continuation of their studies in Part 2.
