SCI-Arc, UCLA, Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and ArtCenter among recipients of the Pacific Standard Time 2040 grant awards
In collaboration with the Getty, Pacific Standard Time (PST) recognizes exhibitions and programs that highlight topics relating to culture, education, visual arts, and science. In its third regional collaboration, the Getty's Pacific Standard Time series thematic overview includes sustainability and environmental justice, indigenous knowledge, technology and futurism, the science and technology of architecture, and more. Forty-five institutions have been awarded funding totaling $5million. Hammer Museum director Ann Philbin discusses the role art and science will play during this iteration of PST in the following press statement.
