For a lot of people the state of global pandemic that we are in has meant no traveling at all. Others, however, have taken full advantage of the low prices of travel and were able to pretty much go around the world and visit their favorite places. And although travel can be tough right now and there are so many guidelines you need to follow, having an organized vacation has always been on the agenda. That is exactly why today we want to share 5 travel tips which are going to make your life easier. These tips have been tried and tested by frequent travellers and are the absolute must do’s every time you decide to pack your bags and visit a certain destination.
Being organized has always been very helpful when it comes to traveling
One of the best travel tips ever – pack lightly
When traveling, it is important to only take essentials. Overpacking and carrying a lot of luggage can be difficult, especially if you are planning on traveling to different destinations with different types of transport. Sometimes less is more. If you want to avoid dragging a large suitcase behind you everywhere you go, pack your essentials. Take beauty products in travel sizes, grab a few pairs of clothes, which will come in handy in the type of weather you are going to. Avoid packing things “just in case”. They are usually never used anyway.

Plan ahead
When traveling, planning and organizing beforehand is the single most important thing you need to do! If you are traveling by plane and have to make a flight connection, make sure your time is organized, so that you don’t miss it. If, after getting off the plane, you need to hop on a bus or train, for example, check the exact times of departure and make sure you are on time and have a plan B, in case you miss your connection.

Be prepared
If you are traveling to a foreign country where they speak a foreign language, you shouldn’t assume everyone there speaks English. Make sure you have a list of the most common phrases you might need in the native language. What’s more, don’t just rely on your mobile internet. Some countries don’t always have the best reception or internet connection. Grab a good old paper map from the airport and have it on you at all times. Getting lost in a foreign country is always easy and anything can happen to your phone. A person with a map and an ability to talk to the locals, however, will always be able to find their way back to the hotel.

Avoid overcrowded, Insta-famous places
If you are looking for a getaway, the best advice we can give you is to avoid all those overhyped, Insta-famous places. If you really want to see something, it might be worth trying to get to it through a large crowd of people. However, just because something is famous, doesn’t mean it is interesting. For example, if you are not super interested or impressed by rocks, than a place like Stonehenge may not be worth visiting. Instead, browse Google and find a place that is near a famous spot and vacation there. Trust us, it will be just as beautiful, but far more peaceful.

And the last and most important of our travel tips – use pen and paper
This is such an underrated tip. Before you go on your trip, make sure you have everything written down on a piece of paper, or better yet a notebook. Phones, tablets and electronic devices in general can be a man’s best friend, but, in reality, they can actually be quite unreliable. Losing them, foretting their charger and their battery dying can happen at any time. That is why it is very important to have all of your traveling information written down on a piece of paper to keep in your wallet. If you want to be extra careful, you can even write it down on two or three separate papers and keep them in three different places for extra security.
