Spanning more than 3,600 square feet, the Victorian warehouse conversion comes with exposed trusses, glazed tiling, and timber-clad cathedral ceilings.

Seven Crittall windows span across the front wall, drawing plenty of natural light inside.

In the vibrant pocket of south London known as Brixton Hill, the upper level of a former bakery is now an expansive warehouse conversion that offers a sweet treat of old and new.

A trove of original charm can be found all throughout the reimagined residence, including glazed tiling, cast-iron radiators, and wide, wooden trusses.

Upon entry, a private hallway leads through a large, timber sliding door to a massive open space that houses the flat’s primary gathering areas, including a well-equipped corner bar. Glazed Victorian tiles wrap the walls of the living room—which extends more than 40 feet in length—complementing the dark plywood floors and exposed trusses.

Capped with a vaulted timber ceiling, the 40-foot-long living room caters to easy entertaining.

Timber-clad cathedral ceilings further enhance the sense of space in the 3,600-square-foot dwelling. The semi-open kitchen sits to the north of the plan and features all-new appliances, including a Thermador range and Sub-Zero fridge. Stainless-steel cabinets and surfaces pay homage to the building’s industrial past.
