International architecture firm with an office in Seattle is looking for a Design Director to join their growing Sciences practice. The ideal candidate will have past experience in leading the design of major facilities at an office- or company-wide level, including pharmaceutical, biomedical, laboratory, and research and development (R&D) companies. Responsibilities: Design lead for all projects within the Life Sciences practice at the office, including laboratory planning Lead projects with a focus on sustainability and fresh approaches that still meet project goals and requirements Provide guidance to other designers Be the main point-of-contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and other related agencies Be a mentor to other designers and staff in their own professional growth Work with regional leadership in Business Development efforts to grow the Life Sciences practice Engage in professional activities, including presenting at professional conferences, writing articles and oth...
