Edges can be transitional places where two distinct entities meet. They can help navigate and create a space of choice, and control with direction to move in. Edges are capable of stimulating intense emotions through their visual impact or feel. While the edge may be fragile in nature, it is also the place where two systems collide and work together, existing in harmony. An edge between the natural and man-made environment is attractive for this reason. But this edge exists in fluid nature, organic in form. Their collision and interaction is a mesmerising sight, be it the waves at the coastline or the mountains on the outskirts. The brief/theme of the challenge is to make a picture story of edges, observed on any scale, between nature and manmade elements. Edges, where both these ecosystems work together, can also be portrayed in the photo essay, using not more than 8 images – along with a concept note.
