Doug Aitken Workshop seeking Shop Manager for Contemporary Art Studio in Los Angeles, CA, US

Looking for a well organized hands-on fabrication specialist, able to multi-task in well appointed contemporary art studio environment. Will work directly with the artist and designers onsite in Culver City, CA studio. Primary focus on programming, setup and operation of CNC gantry mill for wood and foam sculptural projects along with woodworking. Experience/Knowledge• CNC mill operation including setup and fixturing • Cam experience with Fusion 360 or other cam packages (Including Mastercam, RhinoCam, Esprit) • Knowledge of wood, foam, and plastics milling • Experience with one-off/prototype item creation • Work with collaborators and local vendors Qualifications:1-3 Years of CNC mill operation including setup and fixturing1-3 years of CAM programming2+ years of wood milling experienceWoodworking experience Please submit a single PDF that includes cover letter, CV, references, and work samples to: studio@dougaitkenworkshop.com
