Brera Design District - 2022 - ConectART- GuardRail
Corso Garibaldi e Via della Moscova - 24 hours

The artist Alê Jordão will adorn one of Milan's most important public spaces with his sculptures made from guardrails (fence and iron fabric) that end up as furniture. Benches and chairs with their twisted shapes become an inspiration for the design of each piece of
furniture. Besides that, the urban intervention also includes solar power charging stations for phones that refer to the external environment and nature since they are shaped as birdhouses, acting as an invitation for people to take a break from urban chaos and enjoy arts.

FuoriSalone - Galleria Paola Colombari
Exhibition “ DESIGN IS A THREAD_TOM VACK PHOTOGRAPHY”
Via Maroncelli, 13
From 7th to 12th June

Universal and cheeky, the São Paulo citizen will also have his Bullet Proof armchair
display at Galleria Paola Colombari and his iconic Beetle Chair made with the hood of an
old Beetle, in the permanent exhibition of the Salone Satellite, where he won the award in
2001.

Bio
Alê Jordão was born and lives in São Paulo. He has a degree in fine arts at FAAP and has
studied design at Domus Academy in Milan. For the artist, the object-art is something that is
being forged. It holds the meanings of forms for constructing, making them explicit,
communicative, and alive in the object. The technology and design tell a lot about the
material and immaterial results that the artist wishes to produce.
