Gaetano Pesce, Frida Escobedo, and other 2024 Créateurs Design Awards winners honored in special Paris ceremony

Winners of the 2024 Créateurs Design Awards were announced over the weekend at an intimate event held at the Shangri-La in Paris. A winner in each of the 14 separate categories was selected to join the Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Gaetano Pesce and Le Prix Charlotte Perriand recipient Frida Escobedo as part of the ceremony. Philippe Starck and Jonathan Adler were among those to congratulate the winners with specially prepared remarks. Upon receiving her award, Escobedo, who is working on the expansion of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, stated: “I would like to thank all the pioneer women who have paved the road for me to be here. Being honored with this award is particularly meaningful to me because of my deep admiration for Charlotte Perriand’s work.
