IIDA NY To Host Inaugural Career Fair

The International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter (IIDA NY) is proud to announce its inaugural Career Fair for architecture and design students as well as emerging professionals. Join esteemed architecture and design firms based in the greater New York City area on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 5:30-8 pm. The event will be held at the Teknion Showroom, located at 641 6th Avenue #2, New York, NY 10011.

Join esteemed architecture and design firms based in the greater New York City area on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 5:30-8 pm. The event will be held at the Teknion Showroom, located at 641 6th Avenue #2, New York, NY 10011. 

Architecture and design leaders will offer insights and tools to help attendees advance their careers. This event, conceived by Student Development VPs Robin Reigi and Elisabeth Mejia, will include a portfolio review, organized by IIDA NY’s Knowledge Forum, a student-led committee, that will provide multiple industry perspectives. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to partake in professional mock interviews by IIDA NY’s Design Camp committee, a photo shoot for professional headshots, fireside-style career growth-focused forum discussions and networking among top industry professionals.

IIDA NY will also acknowledge the three recipients of its third annual Hazel Siegel Scholarship, named after the late acclaimed textile designer for over 40 years of dedicated service to the chapter. This special ceremony will pay tribute to Dohee Kim from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Giuliana Grosso from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), and Autumn Howard from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). The participants have been awarded educational and networking opportunities.
