Houses We Love: Every day we feature a remarkable space submitted by our community of architects, designers, builders, and homeowners.
Project Details:
Location: Willunga, South Australia
Builder/General Contractor: Adam Fairhead Hall
Interior Design: Sarah Hall & Emma Read of Read & Hall
From the Homeowners: "We created a three bedroom family home within the original church footprint. We wanted it to be creative, and to highlight the 1870 church architecture without dividing the space unnecessarily.
"We also wanted it to incorporate a modern feeling within the existing architecture, and keep the scale and height of the building while still trying to make it feel like a relaxed family home—something practical and comfortable, and like a place we could house our bowerbird tendencies."
