VDF products fair: The glossy Lume surface tile range is designed by flooring manufacturer Marazzi as a celebration of traditional Italian ceramics.

Lume is made with a dense glaze and designed to evoke the ultra-glossy, handmade majolica tiles that are typical of architecture in southern Italy.

Each tile is available in a size of six-by-24 centimetres and can be made in six different colours. Their finishes and textures are all unique, dependant on the "delightful flaws" that occur during the manufacturing process, according to Marazzi.

Lume is intended for use as a wall covering in both residential and contract projects, but can also be used as flooring in domestic spaces where there is a low level of traffic.

It is one of the seven tile styles available as part of the Italian manufacturer's Crogiolo collection, which is designed to celebrate the manual skills of Italian potters.
