The design intent was to create slick circulation systems to seamlessly orient patients, staff, and visitors at the first entry to the site. A specific plan, at first glance, is set out primarily along the northeast axis, considered to be the most preferred orientation according to Vastu. Thoughtfully planned service floors render lots of usable space that is free of F.A.R.
A fascinating thought forms the genesis of this idea, which says that a hospital should not appear to be a place of sickness; it should rather smell of coffee to enliven the aura of the space with vibrant ambience. The hospital has a state-of-the-art doctor's lounge for all in-house and other doctors. The team at CDA aimed to achieve the highest standards of efficiency and economic viability in the operation of the building. It is duly equipped with solar panels, uses limited glass and a mechanism for reusing rainwater. Max Shalimar Bagh has achieved a LEED GOLD rating for its energy-efficient design.
