Murano tile collection by Giovanni Barbieri

VDF products fair: Murano is a tile collection by Italian designer Giovanni Barbieri that has a raised three-dimensional pattern inlaid with coloured Murano glass.

Vicenza-based Barbieri created the collection to offer an "utterly unique aesthetic, available in an infinitive variety of colours, patterns and dimensions".

Each of the tiles combines a natural stone base with Murano glass inlays to give them a raised profile.

The tiles are available in a large range of geometric and abstract patterns. LEDs can be inserted within the tiles to create a backlighting effect that highlights the hand-made glass elements.

Barbieri describes his philosophy as "highest customisation on not exaggerated portion order, highest quality at the right cost and aesthetic result, healthy supply and installation because the health of our customers is the first priority."
