Murdoch + Company Ltd. seeking Junior / Intermediate Architect in Squamish, BC, CA
We are currently looking for 1 or 2 individuals who are interested in working / living in the community of Whistler. What we are looking for in the ideal candidate is; 2-4 years working experience in an architectural firm or related design firm.Good working knowledge of Vectorworks or similar CAD programs on a Mac Platform. SketchUp and other computer aided drafting programs would be an asset.Strong understanding of the BC Building CodeAttention to details and good organization skills.Work well in team environment while able to work independentlyExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsBasic knowledge of architectural design esthetics would be an asset but not essential.Good knowledge of building bylaws, green building strategies and building science.Strong understanding of wood frame construction and detailingMust be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia.strong cycling and skiing abilities are highly encouraged too.
