From the Architect: "A soft material palette and open-plan living was at the heart of the brief for this East London apartment. Studio Hagen Hall looked to muted textures and colors to create a feminine atmosphere, introducing long clean lines throughout to maintain a sense of maturity and timelessness.

"After spying the clever spatial and interior redesign completed in a neighboring apartment, the client commissioned Studio Hagen Hall to reenergize and revitalize their one-bedroom flat in East London.

"The designers took the same rigorous approach to hidden storage and crafting a seamless flow of movement around the flat. A bespoke oak kitchen with built-in bench seating anchors the bright, open-plan living area. Oak cabinetry wraps around the living area, unifying the kitchen, living and dining zones in a long, unifying gesture.

"Floor-to-ceiling oak cupboards allow clutter to be tucked away, while sliding pocket doors maintain the sense of openness throughout the small floor plan. A muted micro-cement bathroom is directly accessible off the central hallway, fitted with an overhead shower and fluted glass screening."
