Project Room seeking Junior Designer in Los Angeles, CA, US

ABOUT THE POSITION The Junior Designer will take direction from the Lead Designer. The successful applicant will be able to take direction and run with it, iterating within design intent.  Responsibilities are wide-ranging and touch on all aspects of the design process including conceptual design support work, materials, systems and code research, design development, plan preparation and submittal and construction administration. Highly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work well under deadlines. We work in SketchUp and Layout, so you must be proficient in these programs. Strong written and communication skills. This is an entry level position. BArch, MArch degree, or equivalent experience/ability -- non-traditional candidates welcome. The job is part-time (20-30 hrs) with a strong possibility of transitioning to full time work (30-40 hrs).
