Students from Cal Poly Pomona win 10 awards at the Orange County Sustainability Decathlon for their project, Roots House

An energy-efficient family home designed and built by students from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (CPP) has been honored with ten awards at the inaugural Orange County Sustainability Decathlon (OCSD) in California. Named Roots House, the recently sold market-ready home is the culmination of three semesters of work by more than 100 students and faculty advisor Professor Juintow Lin. According to the school, students involved in the project spanned across nine majors – architecture; civil, chemical, environmental, mechanical, electrical and computer engineering; architecture; regenerative studies; and business administration.Read the full post on Bustler
