A Preservation Architect who is competent in all aspects of historic architecture. Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Independently solves problems encountered. They will be responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions. They will perform assignments under the direction of a Project Manager; however, they are responsible for design and technical aspects of each project. They must provide architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects. It is important they can make independent decisions on significant architectural problems and carry out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
