When Petra and Benedikt Renz and their two children, Ida and Wanja, purchased a prefab tiny home for their farm in Wangen im Allgäu, Germany, their goal was to bring people closer to nature. "We manage two organic farms that have been in our families for generations," Petra says. "We grew up here near Lake Constance and the Alps, where it’s mainly grassland and forest—we love our region, and we want to give people the ability to get to know the landscape and its beauty."

"We don’t often use the term "picture-perfect," but this rural idyll—with cows grazing right by your side and soft snow flurries in the winter—comes close," architect Reinis Saliņš says. "It’s an alpine landscape with lush valleys and pastures that make the location magical...even fairytale like."
