International Conference on Architecture: Between Autonomy and Engagement

Do the best buildings achieve both: create their own order and language while also addressing and even shaping their environment? Following the International Conferences on Architectural Criticism (2021), on Architectural Quality (2022), and on Architecture as Built Criticism (2023), the 2024 conference seeks papers that show how realized buildings stand in the autonomy and engagement debate.Abstracts Abstracts (max. 500 words) should propose one case study that has been visited by the author and should be submitted via https://cicarchitecture.org/conference2024/ Conference The selection to the conference is in two stages: first, acceptance of abstracts; second, development of abstracts into draft papers.
