Over 100 projects selected as CTBUH Award of Excellence winners for 2024

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH)’s 2024 Award of Excellence winners have been presented following a three-month juried selection process that awarded winners in 20 categories.This year’s cohort is said to be evocative of the "paradigm shift in design and construction practices." CTBUH’s CEO Javier Quintana de Uña said the submissions "showcase the wide spectrum of architectural innovations, construction techniques and urban visions transforming tall-building design internationally, as well as the evolving role of livable density in shaping our cities and skylines.""As someone who has been immersed in the field for a number of years, I was both astounded and heartened by the varied and groundbreaking ideas articulated in the evaluated projects," Julia Köhler, a structural engineer and member of the Innovation category jury, added candidly. Winners of the 21st edition of the Award of Excellence will next be vetted as part of the CTBUH 2024 International Conference, which takes place in London and Paris from September 23rd through 27th. There, an overall winner of each category will be crowned, along with the headlining Best Tall Building and the new Global Community Award, which was introduced this year.Over 100 projects were selected in the 2024 cycle.
