Sylvester "Sly" Stallone is parting ways with his lavish, Mediterranean–inspired abode, located in the Los Angeles suburb of La Quinta. The actor, director, and screenwriter commissioned the home in 2008, adding to his impressive real-estate portfolio. Now, he's ready to bid adieu to it.

Nestled on a large, gated lot in the L.A. suburb of La Quinta, Stallone built this Mediterranean–style home in 2008.

The private dwelling spans nearly 5,000 square feet with arched entryways and coved ceilings to exude an old-world Mediterranean style. The design and construction, which Stallone oversaw himself, is said to be inspired by his Italian ancestry.

The home features four bedrooms and five baths, including a master suite that comes with a large walk-in closet and private terrace. Several of the actor's paintings are also hung throughout, which have been displayed in art museums and galleries across the US, France, Russia, and Switzerland.
