This event once again highlights the crucial interplay between light and shadow in creating functional and inviting living spaces.Natural light is not just a vital aspect in home design for its practicality, but it also transforms spaces into welcoming and comfortable havens. It enables architects to infuse emotion and ambiance into their designs, giving life to structures beyond their physical form.Similarly, shadows are not to be overlooked. The strategic placement of architectural elements like windows or doors can dramatically affect how light and shadow interact, shaping the overall atmosphere of a home.The second edition of the Home of Shadows competition maintains its unique challenge. Participants are invited to design a home for a fictional couple, with a special condition - the total elimination of artificial light. Every submitted design is expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of how natural light influences architectural choices, and how it can be harnessed to create fully functional and aesthetically pleasing living environments.Contestants are free to choose any imaginary location for their design projects, offering a diverse backdrop for the exploration of light and shadow.
